Update October 2015: Germany is still the goal for many refugees who risk the long and dangerous journey in order to find safety in Europe. The increasing numbers of refugees not only challenge authorities, aid and relief organizations and the many volunteers, but also demand efficient logistical solutions. September 2014: Refugee camps in Germany are coping with increasing numbers of refugees from all over the world. After the camp in Karlsruhe could not accommodate any more refugees in September 2014, a new camp for 500 people was opened at the fire station in Bruchsal. However, this can only be seen as a temporary solution.
The fire fighters had only 7 hours to prepare the accommodation which was divided into different parts for muslims and non-muslims, as wished for by the refugees. Many refugees from Syria and Africa fled from civil war and famine. To talk about their flight is not easy for them. Many suffer from traumatic experience. Click here for the whole story:
